The Art of Patience

Patience is one trait that is necessary for being on a path of Spiritual Awakening. Our own unique purpose is meant to be birthed in Divine Timing. Divine Timing happens when everything is aligned mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Our God-essence knows right timing because there is a blueprint for our unique purpose being manifested. So much of our society is focused on the outer goal, the form our unique gift is to take, yet the inner process for bringing it out into the world is equally important. Laying foundation may take a week, month, year or several years depending on what your gift to the world is. Overnight success only has the outer appearance of being of overnight. Success happens as all levels of Being are in resonance with the goal.

Where in your life are you out of resonance with what you are doing?

Do you have trust in yourself and your life process or are you looking for validation from outside? If you are looking for validation from others and are weak in the trusting arena then look to your inner child. It is the child self that learns about trust. The unborn and the newborn baby self has the strongest connection with the God Source. What we struggle against when birthing our authentic expression, which is our soul's purpose, are the results of any unmet needs in those early years. To create a flow in lining up with our soul's vision we must be meeting those needs ourselves. In doing the journey to meet those needs you will discover the fear patterning that is connected to those thought forms and memories from other lifetimes as well. If we are looking outside ourselves to get those needs met we will be unable to live from our true self, our essence of love. Why is this? This is because in transmuting fear to love we discover our soul as a Multidimensional Being that operates beyond our 5 physical senses and 7 basic chakra (energy centres in the body) system. When we rely solely on others for information (like gurus, spiritual leaders, religious leaders or even an intimate partner) without weighing that information in with our own feeling intuitive self we are taking on a blueprint of that person or group. It's kinda like jumping into somebody else's clothes containing their limiting beliefs. A true leader will empower you to discover within you your own true connection with your God-essence. This takes time for most of this information is unconscious.

I found this quote about patience from Mary Manin Morrissey which I pull out when I need a reminder to be more patient with my own life process.

Patience

Ghandi said: "There is more to life than increasing its speed. Although some of us really would like it to hurry up, we must learn patience. Think about Chinese bamboo. It's a fragile plant. If you care for it really well the first year, it grows 2 inches. If you care for it really well the 2nd year, it grows 2 inches, and the third year 2 inches, and the 4th year 2 inches and the fifth year it grows 80 feet. It has it's own growing season, and so do we."

Slowing the pace is sometimes important in order to really listen to our inner self to know what is necessary to move forward. I have learned to trust my process. When I become caught up in busyness mode I have more of a tendency to become distracted. I am more likely to fall because I have missed the message from my inner prompting. As I operate from a more balanced place taking action from the inner prompting from my soul I am in the right place, at the right time, meeting the right people. Life flows naturally. If I am late going somewhere for a meeting I am usually right on time for whatever is happening when I get there, if I have been honouring my own process. This takes courage to do for the external world wants us to be doing things their way at their pace. I have a dear friend Ann who has been a wonderful gift to me in illustrating this point. She once said to me "You know Linda you're the only person I know that when you're late you never put me out. You are usually in sync with when I am ready to see you." As we respect, honour and support our own process we are respected, honoured, and supported by others. People just seem to show up out of nowhere because we are naturally magnetic to that which is for our highest path. The degree to which we are able to give the Kiss of Divinity to ourselves first is the degree to which we will have complete fulfillment on all levels of our Being.

Our choices then become different. They become more aligned with a knowing of purpose and self, aligned with a bigger picture that serves the greater whole rather than marking off items on a list for getting our needs met. Going the distance means being committed to my path of bringing love home in body. When we are in bodied we are fully present and able to communicate and act from our soul essence spontaneously. This requires courage and patience for our world tends to be more outer directed. This is an inside-out awareness. Anything outside of ourselves that we judge is but a reflection and resonance with what is inside. In choosing to surrender to operating from our God-essence connection, our Patience is well rewarded in every moment. When the Light body of our God-essence of love is integrated with our physical body then the shadow/unconscious self is no longer projected. The high, sought in unconscious romance, ceases to be necessary, for the separation from spirit that creates addictions is healed. True freedom and authentic passion is then revealed in unconditional love. With the connection from this place the highest form of relationship is revealed and brought home to earth in true service. Each person is then truly living their own purpose, and not just acting on the influence from a group or another person's energy field because they've connected with their own energies.

Some things to ponder...

Are your choices being made from your child self who learned about trust, your teenage self who learned about identity or your adult self who has the connection and overview of the big picture with your heart 'n soul in focus? Which one is running your life?...
